At the Federation of Mountain Clubs of British Columbia (FMCBC), we are proud to support our member clubs through our grant program, helping them enhance trails, build tools, and empower outdoor recreation across the province. This year, we had several exceptional clubs received funding to make their impactful projects a reality.
Here are three clubs showcasing how they’re putting their grants into action:
1. Chilliwack Outdoor Club (COC): Trail Equipment for Paleface Pass Maintenance
Big thanks to the dedicated volunteers keeping BC’s trails safe, accessible, and stunningly beautiful!
A small grant with a long-lasting impact!

2. qPAWS & Sunshine Coast Trail Club: Building infrastructure & trail/hut maintenance along the Sunshine Coast Trail
Huge thanks to qPAWS, for their incredible stewardship of the Sunshine Coast Trail (SCT) — Canada’s longest hut-to-hut hiking route.
3. Williams Lake Climbing Association: Climbing Equipment Library & Youth Programming
Thank You to Our 2025 Grant Recipients!

Inspired by the impact of these club-led initiatives?
The FMCBC Grant Program exists entirely thanks to generous donations. It helps fund trail upgrades, safety gear, community programs, and so much more — all led by passionate volunteers across BC.
Every dollar directly supports non-motorized outdoor recreation and the people who make it possible.
Donate to the FMCBC Grant Program to help sustain this vital financial support for clubs and volunteers across the province.
