Stawamus Chief – base of Grand Wall trail work

In collaboration with BC Parks and the Squamish Access Society, CASBC organized an Adopt-a-Crag to improve the trail along the base of the Grand Wall, from the campground to the Apron descent. Some 40 volunteers showed for the successful event.

Skookum Creek Power Project

The Sea to Sky Power Corporation has applied to construct a run of the river hydroelectric power project on Skookum Creek, east of Squamish.  The FMCBC has written a letter to ask for a meeting to discuss access issues to the Mamquam area.  Our hope is that access can be maintained and improved by the project, if it proceeds.  Click here to read the letter.

Mt. Slesse – Crossover Pass Trail Work

With the Canadian Military occupying (and closing to the public) the Slesse Creek Valley, the traditional descent off Mt. Slesse is no longer available. Perhaps this is for the best, as the descent was marred with problems, including leaving one at a road some 25km from the car. Lake Lovely Water Trail

Chilliwack Forest District Trails
