Adopt-A-Trail Program

In the past the FMCBC developed and sponsored an Adopt-A-Trail program, which encouraged people and organizations to clear, maintain, mark, and upgrade existing mountain or country hiking trails (e.g. the Howe Sound Crest Trail or Else Lake Trail). Several trails throughout BC were included in the program, but due to liability concerns the program is no longer running.

Comments on BC Parks’ Draft Ski Resort Policy

Over the past week, organizations such as BC Nature and the Friends of Cypress Provincial Park sent in letters to BC Parks expressing concern regarding the BC Parks' Draft Ski Resort Policy which will affect ski resort operations within Mount Seymour, Cypress and Manning Provincial Parks. FMCBC opposes cat skiing tenure expansion near Brew Hut
