Member Club Grants

Since 2012, the FMCBC annual grant program has been committed to supporting member club projects. FMCBC Member Club Grants have been used to fund trail upgrades, trail extensions, backcountry huts, equipment purchases, educational events, community events and so much more.

We usually accept Member Club Grant applications during the month of April. Please check back in the spring of 2027 for updates about the 2027 Grant Program.

Member Club Grants have been awarded for 2026. Congratulations to the grant recipients: Pacific Northwest Outdoor Association, Mountain Mentors, Fridays Hike Club and Rock On Collective.

Support Member Club Projects and Trail Enhancements

Unless specified otherwise, all donations made to the FMCBC go directly into our grant fund, providing a great way for organizations and individuals to give back to our trails and the outdoor recreation community. The FMCBC is a registered charity and a tax receipt will automatically be issued.

Mountain Mentors

“It was an incredible experience, where women were given the opportunity to route plan, navigate, trip plan, and ski in a new area with new people, learning lots about safety and group dynamics in the process. The costs of this trip were partially subsidized by a small participation fee, plus the generous $350 grant from the FMCBC.”

Hickory Wing Ski Touring Club

“The funding that the Hickory Wing Ski Touring Club received from the Federation helped our club rent a backhoe and do some much-needed ditching and water bar improvements to our Troll Lake trail. This is one of our major trails going to the top of Tabor Mountain and it was in great need of this work.”

ACC Vancouver Island Section

“The Vancouver Island Branch of the Alpine Club of Canada would like to thank the FMCBC for the generous grant awarded in spring of 2018 to construct an environmental friendly outhouse at the 5040 Peak Hut. The outhouse and hut are now complete, and the Grand Opening event took place on Oct 20th, 2018.”
