Your Voice, Our Reach:
Share Your Club News & Updates
You’re already doing the hard work on the ground.
Let the FMCBC help you brag about it to 6,000+ members and partners across BC.
Let the FMCBC help you brag about it to 6,000+ members and partners across BC.
FMCBC is building a regular stream of stories that highlight the work of our member clubs. Share your updates, events, trips, trail projects, advocacy, accessibility initiatives, and safety lessons—we’ll turn them into content for:
- Social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Cloudburst Connect (bi-annual)
- Our quarterly E-Newsletter and other member updates
A few sentences and 1–3 photos is all you need. We’ll do the rest!
Share the voice of your community
When you send us stories, you’re helping the wider outdoor community learn from your club’s efforts, and strengthening our collective voice for non-motorized recreation in BC.
Promote your club’s programs and events beyond your own channels
Spotlight trail work, accessibility, and stewardship so others can learn and support
Help us keep FMCBC communications real and relevant—with stories from clubs, not just from the federation

Why Share Your Story with FMCBC?
Because it turns your local work into province-wide impact.
When you share even a short update, we can:
- Extend your reach: promote your club, your events, and your volunteer efforts to a much wider audience
- Support your advocacy: show decision-makers that clubs are active, organized, and paying attention to access, safety, and stewardship
- Help recruit volunteers & members: the more people see what you do, the more likely they are to join in
- Build a stronger case for non-motorized recreation: real stories from clubs are powerful evidence when we speak to government and partners
You’re already doing the work—let us help amplify your voice!
Where will it appear?
Depending on timing and fit, we will feature your story in:
- FMCBC social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Our Cloudburst Connect series (bi-annual)
- Our quarterly e-newsletter
- Future webinar or roundtable topics (especially safety, access, and advocacy themes)
Every submission will be used in one or more of these channels. Remember that strong photos, clear takeaways, and timely events are the most likely to be featured in multiple channels.
Photo, credits & accessibility
- Attach 1–5 photos (horizontal format preferred and the highest resolution you have – most phone images are fine).
- Include photographer credit and permission, and any @handles for tags).
- Add a one-line caption text per photo (e.g., “Three volunteers replacing a boardwalk on XYZ Trail”).
- Share @handles if you want us to tag you and your club to for publishing notification and to reshare to your community.
What happens after you submit
-
You’ll receive an on-screen confirmation that your story was submitted.
- FMCBC reviews new submissions weekly.
- To feature your story, we’ll:
- Lightly edit for clarity/length.
- Schedule it into social, media Cloudburst Connect, or the quarterly e-news, depending on fit.
- We will tag you and your club (if you shared your tag info) when it’s published so your club can re-share i.t
If we can’t use it right away, and depending on the context of your submission, we may hold it for an upcoming theme or publication.
