Please complete the following information to let us know if your club will be renewing your membership and insurance with the FMCBC for 2024-2025. Some clubs, for example, screen trip organizers to ensure they have the appropriate experience and skills for the trips being organized. Some clubs have experienced trip organizers mentor future trip organizers on several trips before leading their own; or, require members to participate in several club trips before organizing their own trips. To build or increase members’ capacity to lead trips, some clubs will organize periodic skill development courses, including First Aid/CPR, Wilderness First Aid, navigation, avalanche training, anchor building, belaying, etc. If your club undertakes any level of screening of trip organizers, please describe.
