This year, our Annual General Meeting is being hosted by the BC Mountaineering Club in Vancouver over the May 27-29 weekend. If you’re interested in attending please register by April 30th. The BCMC has some great activities planned including:
- – Friday night Meet & Greet at Locarno Beach
- – Dinner on Saturday at Mahony & Sons pub at UBC
- – Presentations on Saturday night by Bob St John (Friends of Strathcona Park), Chris Ludwig (Garibaldi Park 2020) and Peter Wood (Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society) about commercial operations in provincial parks
- – Sunday hikes including a longer hike at Golden Ears Provincial Park
The FMCBC covers the travel costs for each member club to send their FMCBC director or a club representative. The BCMC will be billeting us with their club members so that there is no cost for accommodation. The only costs not covered are the Saturday evening dinner.
