Baked Apples

This recipe comes courtesy of Carmen Scott.

1 apple
1 Tbsp butter or coconut oil
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1 Tbsp instant oats
½ tsp cinnamon
Sheet of tinfoil

Carve out apple, getting rid of core and seeds but being sure NOT to go through bottom of apple.

Mix butter, syrup, oats and cinnamon together and stuff into apple.

Cover apple in tinfoil and place in the fire, preferably on hot coals.

Turn apple over after about 7 minutes.

Apple is done when it is soft to the touch, usually about fifteen minutes.
